What to do if your child has cough and asthma

The symptoms of cough in young children cannot be ignored. You must take the baby to the hospital for examination and diagnosis of the cause in time. In modern society, the nutrition and growth of infants can be effectively guaranteed, but people have no way to deal with some minor diseases. For example, the manifestation of cough and asthma in infants is a relatively stubborn disease. So, what should we do with cough and asthma in young children? Let’s take a look at the explanation below.

Asthma has its own characteristics. For example, children will cough and wheeze when they catch a cold. This cough is also characteristic, i.e., it is paroxysmal and worsens at night, early in the morning, and after exercise. Some doctors suspect it is bronchitis and antibiotics are not effective. However, if antiasthmatic drugs are effective, then we should consider whether it is asthma. Asthma is a nonspecific airway inflammation that requires allergen detection and lung function tests to be diagnosed. Generally, children who suffer from recurrent wheezing often have parents with a history of allergies. Children with asthma may have suffered from eczema in infancy, or may have itchy eyes and noses due to rubbing their eyes or noses. These are actually manifestations of allergies.

For children diagnosed with asthma, if they have frequent attacks, they should pay attention to eliminating tracheal inflammation. Inhaled hormones and other drugs are commonly used to prevent asthma attacks. In principle, there are no dietary restrictions for asthma. Don't doubt which foods cause allergies and avoid them at all, because children need comprehensive nutrition to support their growth and development. However, parents are reminded that if a child develops asthma after eating a certain food alone, they should eat less or avoid this food in the future.

Cough and asthma in young children are extremely serious diseases that require parents' attention and care at all times. Therefore, babies suffering from asthma and cough are very pitiful. It is recommended that parents who have not yet given birth should do sufficient preparation for pregnancy before giving birth to prevent children from suffering from asthma and cough.
