What are the laxatives for children?

What are the laxatives for children?

Many children are born with bad gastrointestinal tract, which will not be improved until the child is older. If the child's intestines are not good, then eating something will induce indigestion. The indigestion induced by the child's bad gastrointestinal tract will cause constipation in the child. If the child is constipated accidentally, then the child must be defecate in time. When defecate for the child, many people will choose laxatives. So what are the drugs for children's intestinal moisturizing and laxatives?

Constipation refers to dry and hard stools that make defecation difficult after a long period of time. It is generally believed that constipation occurs when the interval between bowel movements exceeds 48 hours. However, some children are accustomed to defecating every 2 to 3 days, and if the quantity and quality of stool are normal, it should be considered normal. Sometimes, even if you have bowel movements several times a day, the amount of stool each time is very small, and there is still a large amount of stool retained in the colon or rectum, which also falls into the category of constipation.

When children are constipated, they should drink more water and eat some water-rich and cool fruits. Generally, the condition can be effectively improved through diet therapy, and physical methods can be used when necessary.

Physical methods

1. Cut the soap into strips and insert them into the anus. The method is simple and the effect is good.

2. Insert an oiled anal sheet into the anus and gently shake it to induce a laxative effect.

3. Inject 1/3 of a pediatric enema into the anus to stimulate the rectal wall reflex and induce defecation.

Diet therapy

① When children are constipated, eating two bananas can moisten the intestines and promote bowel movements. ②Mix spinach with sesame oil, 100 grams each time. ③ Boil red dates into soup and feed the baby with the juice.

massage

Let the child lie on his back on the bed, and the massager should place the base of his right palm against the abdominal muscles, kneading and pushing from the right upper abdomen - the left upper abdomen - the right lower abdomen. Repeat in this direction, with light pressure, and continue for about ten minutes each time, 2 to 3 times a day, until the constipation is relieved. Continue for another 1 to 2 weeks to consolidate the therapeutic effect. Abdominal massage can promote gastrointestinal blood circulation in the abdomen and increase intestinal peristalsis. It can not only make bowel movements smooth, but also increase the appetite of infants and young children.

Long-term reliance on external force to treat constipation in infants and young children is not a long-term solution. Once it becomes a habit, the normal defecation reflex will disappear and constipation will become very difficult to correct. It is best to go to the hospital for a detailed examination to determine the cause of the constipation so as to solve the problem fundamentally.

In fact, you can choose some foods to improve the child's bowel movement. If the child needs bowel movement, he should eat more bananas, but it is best to choose riper bananas, so that the bowel movement effect will be better. If children need bowel movement, they should also drink more water. During this period, children should not be exposed to spicy and irritating foods, as these foods will cause poor intestinal function in children.
