Causes of retinal hemorrhage in children

Causes of retinal hemorrhage in children

For children, their organs are not yet fully developed, so in daily life they must pay special attention to their eating habits and some behavioral norms. If they have retinal hemorrhage, this is not a single eye disease, and is often not caused by trauma. It is generally related to systemic factors. Let us now understand the causes of retinal hemorrhage in children.

main reason:

Retinal hemorrhage is not an independent eye disease, but a common feature of many eye diseases and certain systemic diseases. It is common in retinopathy caused by hypertensive retinopathy, diabetes and kidney disease. In addition, there are retinal periphlebitis, retinal vein occlusion, optic disc vasculitis, and blood diseases that cause retinopathy and traumatic fundus hemorrhage.

In addition to bleeding caused by trauma, pathological bleeding is often related to systemic disease factors.

According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the etiology and pathogenesis of retinal hemorrhage are closely related to heat, qi and blood stasis.

Heat: "Ji Sheng Fang Vomiting and Nosebleed" says: "The disorderly flow of blood is always caused by heat." There are six types of heat that transform into fire, five types of fire that transform into fire, and there is also fire that transforms into fire due to yin deficiency and internal heat. The heat that rises up and burns the eye vessels, causing blood to overflow from the veins.

Qi: Qi and blood are used for each other. If the Qi movement is unfavorable due to mental factors, it will stagnate in the eye meridians, causing Qi stagnation and blood stasis, or the rise and fall of Qi and blood will be abnormal, the Qi movement will be reversed, and it will rush up to the eye meridians, which will break the meridians and cause blood stasis or Qi deficiency will be unable to stop blood. Blood overflows outside the vessels, or Qi deficiency is unable to push blood, blood circulation is slow, causing Qi stagnation and blood stasis, and blood stasis causes blood to overflow into the eye vessels.

Stasis: Any obstruction of blood flow can cause stasis. Blood coagulates when exposed to cold and becomes lumps when exposed to heat. Blood stagnates due to qi deficiency. Stagnation of qi and trauma cause blood to stagnate in the eyes due to poor blood flow. Or phlegm and blood stasis in the eye collaterals can impact the blood and prevent it from returning to the meridians, but instead overflows against the meridians and causes bleeding.

Above we have a certain understanding of retinal hemorrhage in children. During the treatment process, we must reduce our mental burden, face life optimistically, and live a regular life. We must change some of our previous bad living habits and ensure that we get enough sleep.
