How to treat mumps in children?

Summer is here, and it is the peak season for mumps among children. Because this disease is contagious, if a child plays with sick children, his or her own children may also become sick. After this disease occurs, it is important to pay attention to timely treatment, because if the disease is serious, it may cause testicular inflammation in boys and eventually lead to infertility. So, how should this disease be treated?

1. 3-5g of Indigo, a piece of Zijin Tablet (ground into powder), add vinegar to make a thin paste and apply to the affected area. Apply again after it dries, about 6-8 times a day, until the pain is relieved, about 4-5 days.

2. Apply indigo or young willow leaf paste to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day until the swelling subsides.

3. Grind 10ml of vinegar into black juice with scented ink in an inkstone, and apply it to the swollen area with a brush, 3 to 4 times a day, for 2 to 5 days.

4. Wash and mash 50g each of fresh Radix Trichosanthis and Herba Plantaine, add a little salt and apply to the affected area, 1 to 2 times a day for 2 to 5 days.

5. Remove the hairs and thorns on the surface of fresh cactus, wash and mash it and apply it twice a day for 4 to 6 days.

6. Mix borneol powder with half a spoon of cold rice soup and apply it 2 to 4 times a day for 1 to 3 days.

7. Mix 5 to 10 Liushen Pills with vinegar or white wine and apply twice a day for 2 to 4 days.

8. Mix Phellodendron chinense powder and gypsum in a ratio of 3:7, add vinegar or wine and apply once a day for 2 to 3 days.

9. Collect branches of elm, peach, willow, mulberry and locust trees when they sprout in spring, mix them and boil them twice. Concentrate the two decoctions into a paste and apply it topically once a day for 3 to 4 days.

10. Mash 50-70 red beans into powder, add warm water, egg white or honey to make a paste, spread on a cloth and apply to the affected area 1-2 times a day for 2-4 days.

11. Take 30-60g of fresh yarrow, mash it 2-3 times to extract the juice and take it orally with cold boiled water. Add a little salt to the residue and apply it to the affected area.
