What is the reason why children’s urine is white?

Children's health has always been a concern for parents. Every parent hopes that their children can grow up healthily, and they also strive to create a better growth environment for their children. However, children's immune systems are relatively weak, and they are easily susceptible to bacterial and fungal infections. Regarding the reasons why children's urine is white, the editor has collected several reasons for parents to refer to.

(1) Urate precipitation: When concentrated acidic urine is cooled, light red urate may precipitate, which can be dissolved by heating or adding alkali. This situation is more common in cold weather.

(2) Phosphate and carbonate precipitation: If the urine is alkaline, phosphate or carbonate may precipitate in white color and can be dissolved by adding acid. Carbonates can produce bubbles when they come into contact with acids.

(3) Urinary tract infection: It is mainly related to the proliferation of urinary tract bacteria, the appearance of pyuria and leukocytosis. The urine is milky white.

(4) Chylous urine: White chyluria, seen in obstruction of the renal lymphatic vessels caused by filariasis or other reasons. This is easy to identify with the naked eye.

Most milky urine is crystalline salt urine, especially when children eat green leafy vegetables such as spinach and amaranth, or fruits such as bananas, oranges and persimmons. These foods contain more oxalate and carbonate, which increases the salt content in the urine. When these substances are excreted from the body with urine, they will crystallize into salts such as carbonates or phosphates when exposed to cold, making the urine turbid. So it is more common in winter when the weather is cold. Just give your child plenty of water

The above are some of the reasons why children urinate given by the editor. I hope that parents can find out the reasons why their children’s urine is white as soon as possible and give their children timely treatment. Pay more attention to your child's diet and provide psychological guidance to keep your child happy and grow up healthily.
