Is the soreness in the corners of the child's mouth due to lack of nutrition?

A baby is the continuation of the parents' lives and the hope of a family. The baby will have many problems in the process of growing up. The mother is very anxious about some emergencies but does not know how to deal with them. The baby's expression is not very clear, and the parents cannot clearly understand the baby's needs. Some minor illnesses are not worth going to the hospital to queue up for registration. Some minor illnesses can be handled by parents at home. For example, many young children will have sores at the corners of their mouths. How should they deal with it?

"Sore corners of the mouth" is medically known as angular cheilitis. At the beginning, the junction of the mucosa and skin at the corners of the mouth becomes white or pale, and then the affected area becomes eroded and softened, and there is irritation and pain when opening the mouth. Angular cheilitis can be divided into nutritional angular cheilitis, bacterial angular cheilitis, and fungal angular cheilitis, among which malnutrition angular cheilitis is the most common.

What causes chapped lips? 1. Autumn and winter are windy and rainy, the climate is dry, and the skin is prone to cracking. 2. The diet is too refined and picky. 3. Bad living habits, often licking the corners of the mouth.

The treatment method is also very simple. Use light salt water to clean the affected area of the corners of the mouth. After it dries, apply the pre-ground vitamin B2 on the corners of the mouth. Apply it once after meals and before going to bed. It usually takes effect in 3 days. You can also give your baby vitamin B2, 2-4 mg three times a day. In addition, you should also take vitamin B complex, 1-2 tablets three times a day. If there is no medicine at home, you can also use the overflowing water from steamed rice or persimmon cream for treatment. Apply them to the affected area twice a day and it can also be cured.

It should also be noted that there are some misunderstandings in treatment. Many mothers keep giving their children water to achieve the purpose of reducing internal heat. Although this can act as a diuretic, it can also cause dehydration and aggravate the condition. Do not apply toothpaste, lotion, or balm to children, as these may cause secondary local skin infections. Correct approach: If you find your child's lips are dry, apply a little borax glycerin, lip balm or cooking oil to prevent cracking, and take vitamin B2, 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. If erosion and inflammation have occurred, apply 75% alcohol or 0.2% iodine to the corners of your mouth twice a day.

Usually, let your baby eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. If the child does not like to eat fruits and vegetables, you can squeeze these fruits and vegetables into juice for the baby to drink, or crush the fruits and vegetables into porridge for the baby to drink. Be sure to let the baby overcome the habit of picky eating, do more outdoor exercises, adapt to the outdoor environment to enhance the baby's immunity, pay attention to the baby's oral hygiene, brush teeth in the morning and evening, rinse mouth after meals, and parents should not share toothbrushes and tableware with children.
