What to do if your child vomits after eating

It is a common phenomenon for children to vomit while eating. If a child vomits, it will not only affect the child's appetite and make the child unable to take in enough nutrition and energy, but also make the child feel uncomfortable. After all, the feeling caused by vomiting is uncomfortable. Not only will the child feel uncomfortable, but the parents will also be very worried about their child's health. Many new parents will encounter a problem when their children vomit while eating. As long as they find out the cause, they can deal with it in a targeted manner and help the child get better as soon as possible.

There are many reasons why children vomit after eating, mainly problems with parental feeding or improper eating of the child, overfeeding in the neonatal period, improper milk formula, swallowing large amounts of air while feeding; infants and young children eat too much at one time or the food is difficult to digest.

If the child's digestive function is abnormal, such as suffering from upper respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, sepsis and other diseases, vomiting is often accompanied by high fever, nausea, loss of appetite.

In addition, mental factors can also cause vomiting. Some children may vomit due to excessive mental stress or anxiety caused by certain reasons. Recurrent vomiting is sometimes related to mental factors. Others such as food poisoning: including various poisonings, such as food poisoning, poisonous animals, plant poisoning, drug and pesticide poisoning, etc., almost all have vomiting symptoms, but different poisonings have their own clinical characteristics for identification.

If a child vomits, let the child sit up and turn his head to the side to prevent vomit from entering the trachea. After the child has finished vomiting, prepare a cup of warm water to rinse the mouth to clean the mouth and remove the odor produced by the vomit. When feeding, pay attention to feeding in small amounts and multiple times to avoid putting too much food in the child's stomach at one time. For children, this feeding method is also beneficial to their absorption.
