How much milk should a full-month baby have?

The growth of babies will be of concern to every new parent, especially when a baby is born. Many first-time parents do not know how much milk to give their babies to ensure that they have enough nutrition to lay a good foundation for their growth and development. Especially for some babies who are fed with milk powder, it is difficult to control the amount of milk they eat. So how much milk should a one-month-old baby drink?

Generally, the outer packaging of infant formula milk powder has simple instructions on the amount of milk to feed the baby: basically, for a one-month-old baby, 90ML/time*6 times, and the reference weight is 3.5KG.

But nowadays babies are better nourished and generally weigh more than 3.5KG when they are born. In this case, you can feed the baby according to the amount of milk corresponding to the baby's weight as indicated on the milk powder instructions.

If you feed your baby fresh milk, the baby cannot fully absorb the protein in milk and the excess protein will increase the burden on the baby's kidneys. Therefore, fresh milk must be diluted with water before feeding it to the baby.

The amount of food a baby eats varies from person to person. You can prepare more each time to see how much the baby can eat. When the baby is full, he will spit out the pacifier by himself.

The number of times you feed your baby does not necessarily have to be strictly 6 times a day. You can develop a unique feeding schedule for your baby based on his actual needs: for example, feeding every 2 hours or every 3 hours, or feeding more frequently during the day and less at night.

As long as the baby's bowel movements are normal, his weight increases according to the standard value for his age, and he doesn't cry, it will be fine.

In addition, if you are feeding your baby formula, be sure to add water between feedings, otherwise your baby will easily become constipated. The amount of water fed is generally half the amount of milk.

When preparing formula milk for your baby, be sure to follow the instructions on the outer packaging of the milk powder. The measuring spoons of different brands of milk powder are different and cannot be generalized. Never add more water when making milk to replace the separate water feeding between meals, otherwise malnutrition will occur.

My baby is just two months old now, and is fed according to weight. Basically, he is fed every three hours during the day, 120ML each time, and every six hours at night (or when the baby needs to be fed, otherwise he is not fed). The total daily milk intake is about 720ML.

Babies who have just turned one month old need enough nutrition to support their body development. Because the baby's growth rate is very fast in the first three months, parents also need to control the amount of milk the baby drinks, which must have enough nutrition to ensure physical growth without increasing the burden on the baby's stomach.
