Treatment

1. When the body temperature is below 38℃, generally no treatment is required. When the temperature is between 38-39℃, you can open the baby's swaddling clothes and expose him to the room to cool down through skin heat dissipation, or use a cold water bag as a pillow to cool down.

2. For children with high fever above 39°C, you can use 75% alcohol added with half water, dip gauze in it and wipe the neck, armpits, thigh roots and limbs to reduce the fever.

3. When treating a newborn with fever, it is strictly forbidden to use antipyretic drugs such as pediatric antipyretic tablets, aspirin, and APC.

4. When cooling down, you must be careful that once the body temperature drops, the cooling measures should be removed to avoid overcorrection.

5. In the hot summer, fever is often caused by drinking too little water. In addition to the above treatment, feed the child 5-10 ml of boiled water or sugar water every 2 hours. The fever can usually subside within 24 hours.
