Solutions for cold hands and feet in children

Because children are too young and have not yet fully developed, their ability to regulate body temperature is not perfect. Therefore, parents should pay more attention to whether their children have cold hands and feet. If so, we must find out the cause and solve the problem of cold hands and feet of children in time to prevent problems before they occur.

Difficulty regulating body temperature in extremely cold or hot environments is unlikely to be a genetic predisposition. When a child has cold hands and feet, the first thing to do is to check whether the temperature of the living environment and the clothes and blankets are appropriate. As long as the tip of the nose and the back of the head are warm, the child is not cold.

Parents can soak their children's feet before going to bed. Put some wolfberries in when boiling water, just a dozen each time will do. The wolfberry water will be light red. Rub your child's feet before soaking them, and then soak their feet until they are warm. Soak for more than 20 minutes, until the water is no longer hot. After soaking, there will be some red wolfberry color on the soles of children’s feet. There is no need to wash them with clean water or wipe them dry with cloth immediately. Let them dry for a while and then wipe them dry. "Bencao Jingshu" says: "Wolfberry is sweet, mild and warm in nature, moist and nourishing, and can also reduce fever. It is specialized in nourishing the kidney, moistening the lungs, promoting fluid production and replenishing qi. It is an essential medicine for replenishing the liver and kidney yin deficiency, fatigue and internal heat."

In addition, children often have cold hands and feet when they have a fever. Their palms and soles are dry and sweaty. If you touch the child's forehead with the back of your hand, you can feel the fever. You must see a doctor immediately. Some diseases can affect the baby's blood circulation, such as anemia, heart disease, malnutrition, etc. Parents should pay attention to whether the child has pale complexion, cyanosis of lips, weak crying, less activity and easy fatigue.

Finally, a warm reminder to all mothers, when keeping children warm, you should pay special attention to their legs and feet. If the lower limbs are kept warm well, the whole body will feel warm. Also, don't wear clothes that are too small so their blood can't circulate properly. Only by paying attention to these small details in daily life can we better protect children and give them the best care.
