Spring child care methods

Spring child care methods

The sunny spring is here, and during this period of time when the weather is still cold, delicate babies are particularly prone to getting sick. What should young parents pay special attention to when taking care of their babies in spring? Today I will tell you about spring child care knowledge from four aspects: baby's spring clothing, diet, housing, and activities. I hope this will give you a more comprehensive understanding of how to care for your baby in spring!

1. Tips for baby's spring dressing:

When dressing your baby in spring, remember to wear “thicker on the bottom and thinner on the top”. Because once the baby's stomach catches a cold, it is easy to cause symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. A baby's legs and feet are most sensitive to external cold. When your feet are exposed to cold, it will cause the blood vessels in the upper respiratory tract mucosa to constrict, reducing your disease resistance and making you more susceptible to infectious diseases. However, if your head is overheated, you may feel dizzy, irritable and restless. Therefore, when indoors in sunny weather, it is important to keep the child's head cool to help him feel refreshed. Therefore, the baby's stomach, back, legs and feet should be dressed thicker, and the head and chest should be dressed relatively thinner. Parents should wash their hands before holding their children after entering the house to avoid transmitting the germs they carry to the baby.

Five principles to keep in mind

1. Dress thicker on the bottom and thinner on the top.

In the cold March, attention should be paid to keeping children's lower part, especially legs and feet, warm to avoid cold.

2. Seize the opportunity.

The climate in spring is changeable, and cold waves occasionally pass through. One or two days before the cold front arrives, mothers should add appropriate clothes to their children. Proper "covering" can keep colds, indigestion and other diseases away.

Add or remove clothes according to the temperature. When the temperature difference between day and night is greater than 8℃, you need to "cover" and add clothes to your children to prevent them from catching cold. As the temperature rises, you cannot take off your clothes too quickly. Even after the temperature continues to rise, you still need to keep warm for about 7 more days. For weak children, it is appropriate to continue for 14 days to allow the child's body to gradually adjust to the climate change. When the temperature remains above 15℃ and is relatively stable, you don't need to cover it.

3. “Three warms and two cools” is very important.

The three warmths refer to warm back, stomach and feet; the two cools refer to cool head and chest. Doing these things can prevent diseases and reduce the chances of catching a cold.

4. Do not cover children with allergies

It is said that "cover up in spring and keep cold in autumn", but this does not apply to children with allergies. The weather has been hot and cold recently. If children do not pay attention to adding more clothes, they are likely to catch cold and develop respiratory infections. Respiratory viral infection is closely related to the incidence of respiratory allergic diseases. For children with allergies, parents should take necessary preventive measures during this season, such as adding clothes in time, avoiding contact with allergens, etc., to set up a "protective barrier" for their children's health.

Spring is here! The temperature is gradually rising, spring is here, and flowers are blooming. Nature is so beautiful! Your baby has been stuck at home for a whole winter. Are you eager to take him out to feel the warm sunshine and nature? As spring approaches, the air becomes dry and the baby's skin secretion function is relatively slow compared to adults, so the baby's skin is particularly delicate, which can easily cause dry skin and lead to a series of skin problems. In fact, the key to giving your baby healthy skin is the parents' daily care.
