Why do babies sweat a lot on their palms and soles?

Sweating of babies' palms and soles is a problem that mothers often encounter and talk about in daily life. Because they don't know the cause, they are often at a loss, and even take medicine or apply so-called antiperspirant products indiscriminately. This not only fails to solve the problem well, but may also cause other inflammations and skin diseases. Therefore, in response to this situation, we will analyze the two factors of sweating in the palms and soles for mothers' reference.

1. It may be calcium deficiency. Generally speaking, babies have absorbed all the calcium from their mothers three months after birth. At this time, calcium and cod liver oil should be supplemented. My baby was taking "Sanjing" calcium gluconate and "Icoxin". A 4-month-old baby should take two calcium sticks every three days and one cod liver oil capsule every day. Babies with calcium deficiency will have the following symptoms: sweating on the palms and soles of the feet, night terrors, and baldness on the back of the head. You will know it by observing. Long-term calcium deficiency will seriously affect the baby's physical development, so you must remember to supplement it. You should also get more sun exposure, because sun exposure can promote calcium absorption and make the baby's bones stronger.

2. Physiological sweating. That is, sweating caused by hot weather. The so-called physiological hyperhidrosis refers to sweating during sleep when the child is well-developed, healthy, and has no disease. Parents are often accustomed to deciding the best environmental temperature for their children based on their own subjective feelings, and like to cover their babies with more blankets and keep them tightly covered. Because children's brain and nervous system are not yet fully developed and they are in the growth and development period, their body metabolism is very active. Coupled with the stimulation of overheating, they can only regulate normal body temperature by sweating to evaporate the heat in the body. In addition, drinking milk, malted milk or eating chocolate before going to bed can cause sweating in the palms and soles of children's feet, or even sweating all over the body.

Therefore, mothers need to pay special attention here. When you find that your baby's palms and soles are sweating a lot or sweating all over the body, you can first judge whether the baby is calcium deficient by observing their sleeping conditions at night. You can get more sun exposure and appropriate calcium supplements to see if there are any changes. As for weather reasons or too many clothes, timely adjustments should be made to avoid getting sick without being covered up.
