For many people, colds are a common disease in daily life. When you have a cold, you are likely to have a runny nose, fever or cough. It has had a great impact on people's normal lives. Many times, colds are caused by people's daily carelessness, but some people are always prone to colds due to their physical constitution. At this time, many people will go to the epidemic prevention station to get some vaccines to prevent colds. So what kind of vaccine should people who often catch colds get? Influenza viruses are divided into three serotypes: A, B, and C. Type A can cause a pandemic due to drastic mutations in its antigenic structure, which is estimated to occur once every 10 to 15 years; Type B epidemics are smaller and more localized; Type C generally occurs sporadically with milder symptoms. These three types can cause laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, bronchiolitis and pneumonia. The general population is susceptible. The main clinical manifestations are fever, headache, general weakness, often accompanied by respiratory symptoms such as runny nose, dry cough, sore throat, and concurrent myocarditis and pericarditis. Vaccination is the main measure to prevent influenza. Immunity usually develops 2 to 3 weeks after receiving the flu vaccine, and the body can initiate a protective immune response when it comes into contact with the flu virus targeted by the vaccine. Vaccination targets: The "Technical Guidelines for the Application of Seasonal Influenza Vaccines in China (2014-2015)" of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention clearly states that influenza vaccines are safe and effective. The following groups are recommended as priority vaccination targets: 1. Pregnant women. 2. Family members and caregivers of infants under 6 months old. 3. Children aged 6 months to 5 years. 4. Elderly people aged 60 and above. 5. Patients with specific chronic diseases. 6. Medical personnel. The best time to get a flu shot is before the flu season starts each year. In my country, especially in the northern region, winter and spring are the influenza epidemic seasons every year. Therefore, September and October are the best time to get vaccinated. Of course, vaccination after the flu starts also has a preventive effect. Immunization schedule and dosage: One dose is injected intramuscularly into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. Get vaccinated before or during the influenza season. Adults and children over 3 years old are given one injection, with each injection dose being 0.5 ml. Children aged 6 to 35 months should receive two injections, each with a dose of 0.25 ml, with an interval of 4 weeks. Taboo 1. Those who are allergic to eggs or any other ingredients in the vaccine (including excipients, gentamicin, formaldehyde, kanamycin, lysing agents, excipients, etc.), especially those who are allergic to ovalbumin; 2. Those suffering from acute diseases, acute attacks of serious chronic diseases and fever; 3. Uncontrolled epilepsy and other progressive neurological diseases, and patients with a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome. 4. If you have a high fever illness or acute infection, it is recommended to get vaccinated at least 2 weeks after the symptoms subside. 5. If any nervous system reaction occurs after injection, do not use this product again. 6. This vaccine is strictly prohibited for intravenous injection. 7. People with a family or personal history of convulsions, chronic diseases, a history of epilepsy, or allergic constitution should use this product with caution. Reactions and precautions after vaccination The most common reaction after influenza vaccination is pain at the injection site. Symptoms such as fever and fatigue are relatively rare. Avoid vaccination on an empty stomach and observe for 30 minutes after vaccination. At the same time, it is important to note that you cannot sit back and relax after receiving the flu vaccine. No vaccine or bacterial strain can provide 100% protection to the human body, so prevention and protective measures are still necessary in normal times. |
