One month old baby enteritis symptoms

One month old baby enteritis symptoms

A one-month-old baby has a very weak stomach and intestines, and relatively poor immunity. If he catches a cold or has feeding problems at this time, it may cause bacterial or viral infections, leading to symptoms of enteritis in the baby. This has a great impact on the baby's health, causing diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, and even posing a great threat to the child's life.

One month old baby enteritis symptoms

Depending on the severity of enteritis, your baby may have the following symptoms:

1. Mild enteritis: 5 to 8 bowel movements a day, slight fever, no dehydration.

2. Moderate enteritis: The patient has bowel movements more than 10 times a day, and the stool is watery, muddy, bacterial, and contains mucus, pus, or blood, commonly known as "dysentery." There are symptoms of dehydration and high fever; because the bacteria contain toxins, they often cause convulsions, drowsiness, shock, and even death in severe cases.

3. Severe enteritis: Defecation more than 15 times a day, watery stools spurt out, severe dehydration, i.e. dry skin, sunken eyeballs, dark circles under the eyes, decreased urination, thirst, restlessness, in addition there are also blood acidosis, respiratory discomfort, collapse, semi-coma and other conditions. Due to potassium deficiency and edema, the waist is swollen and there is intestinal paralysis. If not treated promptly, the mortality rate can reach over 30%.

How to prevent enteritis?

Prevention of pneumonia in babies is recommended from the following aspects:

1. Stay away from the source of disease, especially in the season when epidemic diseases are prevalent, try to avoid taking children to crowded public places, and try to have less contact with children if family members have a cold;

2. Add or remove clothes according to temperature changes. If the child is sweating, do not take off clothes immediately. Wipe off the sweat and add or remove clothes slowly.

3. Diet adjustment, arrange the baby's diet reasonably, and eat more foods that can nourish the lungs;

4. Exercise more. Reasonable aerobic exercise can enhance the child's physique and enhance the baby's ability to resist viral infection;

5. Preventive vaccination. Vaccination can effectively enhance the baby's ability to resist disease.

The key to preventing all diseases is prevention, especially for babies with weaker constitutions. In daily life, parents must arrange the baby's diet reasonably, cultivate good living and hygiene habits for the baby, improve the living environment, and stay away from sources of disease. This will enhance the baby's resistance and keep away from disease.
