Why do children vomit after drinking water?

In summer, due to diet, many people's stomachs are not very healthy. They often vomit due to eating too much or too little. You need to pay attention to this situation. If you have vomiting symptoms when drinking water, you should consider it as an inflammatory infection in the intestine. Don't eat anything in a short period of time. Adjust your body for a period of time and see the recovery effect.

Causes of vomiting in children

The causes of vomiting in children are quite different from those in newborns and infants. The common causes are as follows:

1. Digestive tract diseases: acute gastroenteritis, intussusception, intestinal obstruction, hepatitis, appendicitis, pancreatitis, etc.

2. Vomiting may occur when the intracranial pressure increases due to central nervous system diseases such as meningitis, encephalitis, brain abscess, brain tumor, subdural hemorrhage, etc., but the nature of this vomiting is projectile vomiting.

3. Systemic infectious diseases: Children's central nervous system is not fully developed, and they are prone to overreact when encountering stimulation. Some infectious diseases outside the digestive tract will not cause vomiting in adults, but are prone to vomiting in children, such as respiratory tract infections, sepsis, etc.

4. Cyclic vomiting is a type of recurring, paroxysmal vomiting. The cause of the disease is still unclear. It is common in children aged 2-4 years and the attacks will stop naturally before puberty. There may be no symptoms or signs during vomiting, and vomiting does not indicate disease in any organ or system. Vomiting is frequent during an attack. The vomitus initially consists of food, followed by bile and gastric juice. Acidosis occurs early. This disease often occurs after an upper respiratory tract infection or emotional excitement. As long as you fast temporarily and give timely intravenous fluid replacement to correct the metabolic disorder in the body, the vomiting will stop.

5. Drug reaction: Erythromycin can easily cause stomach discomfort and vomiting. Children with ADHD may also experience nausea and vomiting when taking methylphenidate (Ritalin).
