What to do if your child's genitals itch

When children are young, all hygiene issues are taught by their parents, so parents must help their children take care of the hygiene of their private parts, otherwise it is likely to cause bacteria to grow and the children will have some genital itching. If the child feels genital itching, most of the time it is caused by too many bacteria. So what should the child do if the genitals are itchy?

It may be scrotal eczema. Scrotal eczema is mostly confined to the scrotal area, sometimes extending to the perineum and the skin around the anus, and generally rarely involves the penis. It is usually divided into two types: exudative type and dry type. Exudative type scrotal eczema has edematous swelling of the skin accompanied by erosion, exudation, and wrinkles between scabs; dry type scrotal eczema has infiltration, thickening, roughness and dryness of the skin, deep and wide wrinkles, hardening of the skin, and increased pigmentation. It may be accompanied by skin atrophy or the appearance of hypopigmentation. The local itching is unbearable, especially in leisure time and at night. The course of the disease can last for several months or even years. Scrotal eczema should be combined with riboflavin deficiency, scrotal tinea, scrotal scabies nodules and other diseases

Differentiation of riboflavin deficiency signs: Scrotal rash is mostly symmetrically distributed on both sides of the scrotal midline and accompanied by glossitis, cheilitis, and angular cheilitis. Signs of scrotal tinea: Mostly spread from tinea cruris. The surface of eczema often has small scales. Signs of scrotal scabies nodules: The lesions are not fused, slightly higher than the skin surface, and have dark red nodules with clear borders. Patients with scrotal eczema should avoid eating spicy and hot foods; do not scratch the local area with hands, wash with hot water, or use soap, etc. Take antipruritic and tranquilizer drugs before going to bed, one tablet of Atarax every night

(1) Exudative scrotal eczema: Gentomycin can be used for treatment. The method is to take 500 ml of normal saline, add 40,000 units of gentamicin, shake well, then take a piece of gauze, fold it into 4-6 layers, put it in the medicine solution, soak it, take it out and apply it to the affected area, change the dressing once every 4 hours; or use an appropriate amount of perilla leaves, put it in an iron pan, fry it until it is charred, grind it into fine powder, then put 60 grams of perilla leaves in a pot, boil it, let it cool, and sit in a basin to fumigate and wash the scrotum for about 20 minutes. Do not wipe it dry after washing, and sprinkle perilla powder immediately, once a day
