What to do if your baby has diaper eczema

What to do if your baby has diaper eczema

We all know that babies use diapers when they are young, because using diapers frequently can prevent babies from wetting the bed. However, some new mothers do not know how to choose diapers. When buying in maternal and child supplies stores, they will find that there are many types of diapers, and the variety of diapers will make mothers dazzled. If the selection is not good, the baby will suffer from diaper eczema. So what should I do if the baby has diaper eczema?

Baby diaper eczema precautions:

1. After the child has put on the diaper, it is best to put a diaper pad made of highly absorbent cotton or multiple layers of old cloth, and then put oilcloth or plastic cloth under the diaper pad. Never let plastic cloth or oilcloth directly contact the skin, because they are not breathable and affect the absorption and evaporation of moisture.

2. Wash the diapers thoroughly. Diapers contaminated with urine and feces must first be cleaned of feces. Soak the diapers in clean water, boil them in boiling water or scald them in hot water, then wash them with cold water and dry them.

3. Choose soft cotton cloth as diapers, which have strong water absorption. To prevent diaper rash, you must keep the skin on the buttocks clean and dry. Never reuse wet diapers directly after drying them. This is the key to preventing diaper rash.

4. Children's buttocks and vulva should be cleaned promptly after defecation. Wash from front to back, that is, wash the vulva first and then the anus, to prevent urinary tract infection. After washing, dry the buttocks, apply talcum powder or diaper oil, and change the diaper.

5. Diapers should be changed in a timely manner, especially for children with diarrhea, who should pay special attention to changing diapers frequently.

6. It is best not to use diapers for your baby, because long-term urine irritation can easily aggravate eczema.

7. During the day, it is best to let the baby's butt ventilate and keep the area dry, so that the baby can recover faster.
