How to communicate with your baby

How to communicate with your baby

Parenting is very technical, especially when it comes to babies. Many parents think that babies don’t understand anything, so there is no need to be too particular about methods, and all they need to do is take good care of them. In fact, this is not the case. Babies need to communicate and cooperate emotionally from an early age. This kind of communication is definitely different from that of adults. So, how to communicate with babies? Let’s take a look at the methods below.

Pay attention to your baby's sleep and rest routine. Babies sleep most of the day and only wake up when they are hungry, urinate, or feel uncomfortable. Parents should pay attention to their baby's schedule. Adequate sleep can promote the baby's brain development. Do not disturb the baby's sweet dreams and communicate with the baby when he wakes up.

Eye contact. You can communicate with your baby through eye contact, pay attention to your baby's eyes, observe what your baby is paying attention to, and communicate with your baby by using the things he or she is trying to find to attract his or her attention and communicate with your baby better.

Communicate with gestures. When babies cannot speak

In addition to increasing the number and duration of gazes at things that interest them, babies will also take actions such as moving part of the body closer or reaching out to grab them. This is because they can communicate with their babies through gestures, such as clapping to welcome them or extending their arms to hug them. Babies can understand these and can form corresponding conditioned reflexes in a short period of time.

Physical communication. Babies all need a sense of security and belonging. If you hug and caress your baby frequently, a good dependency relationship will be formed, which is conducive to the development of the baby's sense of security, making the baby feel at ease, and is also beneficial for the development of his or her healthy personality in the future.

Verbal communication. The most common form of communication between people is through speech. Even if the baby has not yet mastered complete language and grammar, even if he/she is just babbling some irregular sounds, parents should not ignore it and should actively communicate with the baby. You can learn his/her pronunciation or look at him/her, so that his/her language function will develop faster.

Physical exercise. Infants cannot walk, stand or crawl yet, but parents can try to train their arms and legs, letting them slowly exert force so that they can form relevant conditioned reflexes as soon as possible. Scientific research shows that 3-month-old babies can stand with the help of adults and can take steps.

Environmental communication. Babies like

Bright colors, pleasant sounds and dynamic toys, so we can communicate with the baby through these, thereby exercising the baby and promoting its brain development. For example, brightly colored balloons, cars that can make sounds, etc. will attract the baby's attention. You should also choose bright colors when decorating the baby's room.
