Why does my child have nosebleeds frequently recently?

If a child suffers trauma, he or she may have a nosebleed at the first moment. If the injury is serious, the wound will be difficult to heal completely in a short period of time, so nosebleeds will often occur in the following period of time. This is all normal. If these obvious reasons are excluded, a child's long-term nosebleed should be taken seriously, as it may be caused by some serious physical illness.

Why does my child have nosebleeds frequently recently?

1. Caused by allergies: Most children who are prone to nosebleeds have symptoms of allergic rhinitis. The nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis often has erosion symptoms, and because of the itchy feeling, they often poke and rub the nose, causing injury to the nasal mucosa and bleeding.

2. Caused by trauma: Children are very active and are easily bumped or hit hard while running and jumping, causing their fragile noses to bleed. Even putting foreign objects into the nasal cavity while playing can easily cause nosebleeds.

3. Picking the nose with hands: Children with allergic rhinitis or colds will have runny nose, nasal congestion, itchy nose, sneezing or picking the nose with fingers (some are bad habits), causing injury and bleeding to the fragile nasal mucosa.

4. Fragile nasal mucosa: The nasal mucosa of young children is relatively fragile. In the dry and cold weather in winter, more blood needs to flow through the nasal cavity, increasing the temperature and humidity. Therefore, the nasal mucosa is prone to congestion and bleeding.

5. Abnormal lifestyle and work and rest: Many children are prone to nosebleeds due to irregular lifestyle, less sleep, weak body, etc. Children who suffer nosebleeds due to irregular work and rest schedules usually also have a lot of eye and nasal mucus and bad breath.

6. Caused by other diseases: Clinically, some systemic diseases, such as abnormal coagulation factors or tumors in the nasal cavity, will also manifest as "nosebleeds" in the early stages. Experts remind that if a child often has nosebleeds for no reason, it may be a sign of certain diseases and he should be taken to an ENT department for examination to find out the real cause.

What should I do if my child has a nosebleed? When children have nosebleeds due to internal heat, they naturally need to eat some heat-reducing foods. You can use snow pears, lotus root nodes, and lean pork, add water and cook them, then give them to the children. Eat them once a day, and they will be cured in five days. In addition, you can let your child drink a decoction of Imperata root and broad bean flower, which can cure the disease after drinking for half a month. Children should be encouraged to eat more vegetables or fruits on a regular basis, because these foods are rich in vitamins. Children who often have nosebleeds are not very willing to eat vegetables, so giving them more vegetables can prevent nosebleeds.
