Benign epilepsy in children should be detected as early as possible and treated as early as possible. Usually, when this disease occurs, the patient will show symptoms such as clenched teeth, twitching of the corners of the mouth, head tilted back or repeated flexion and extension of the limbs. These are what we commonly call "sheep wind". They are mainly caused by the child's incomplete neurological development, the brain has been exposed to high fever, or severe mental stimulation, so scientific medication must be used. 1. Recognize the early symptoms of childhood epilepsy and detect and treat them early. During benign childhood epileptic convulsions, most children become unconscious, with their eyes tightly closed or half-open, their eyeballs rolled up, their jaws clenched, the corners of their mouth twitching, their heads tilted back, and their limbs flexing and extending repeatedly. At the same time, due to the rigidity of their chest and abdominal muscles and breathing cessation, their entire body suffers from hypoxia, their lips become cyanotic, and their bodies become rigid. This condition may last from a dozen seconds to 1-2 minutes. However, a very small number of children have milder symptoms and are still conscious. 2. Childhood epilepsy, commonly known as "epilepsy", is a common neurological syndrome in children with complex causes and recurrent attacks. It is caused by paroxysmal temporary brain dysfunction. It is divided into primary and secondary types, and the clinical manifestations are recurrent muscle spasms and impaired consciousness. It is mainly caused by the incomplete development of the child's nervous system, and the cerebral cortex is over-excited due to high fever or severe mental stimulation. The most common cause is high fever. 3. Benign epilepsy in children has different manifestations in different age groups from newborns to adolescents. Some of these symptoms will heal automatically as they grow older, and will not cause any intellectual impact on smart children. So when facing the parents of such patients, we encourage them not to use medications or reduce dependence on anti-epileptic drugs. If parents have a more comprehensive understanding of the early symptoms of epilepsy in children, they can detect epilepsy earlier, diagnose earlier, and treat earlier. This will greatly reduce the difficulty of treating epilepsy in children and reduce the cost of treatment. Can benign epilepsy in children be cured without medication? We do not deny that some epilepsy symptoms disappear with age, but most childhood epilepsy requires professional treatment. |
