1. Nasal congestion

Whether it is acute rhinitis or chronic rhinitis, it is one of the typical symptoms of rhinitis, manifested as different noses, children's breathing is manifested as asthma and breathing through the mouth.

2. Runny nose

Runny nose is another typical symptom of rhinitis. In the early stage, it is usually clear nose, accompanied by bacterial infection, yellow nose and turbid nose.

3. Sneezing

Sneezing is mainly seen in allergic rhinitis or rhinitis caused by cold.

4. Loss of sense of smell

Babies under two years old do not show this symptom. Older children may be aware of a loss of sense of smell.

5. Cough

It is a long-term mild cough that makes "hum, hum" sounds and is accompanied by coughing up phlegm. This is actually not sputum secreted from the trachea, but the mucus produced by children's rhinitis that flows down to the throat, trachea and bronchi, and then causes a reflex cough to cough out the mucus.

6. The symptoms of chronic rhinitis in children are mainly characterized by cold nose and loss of smell. In chronic simple rhinitis, nasal congestion is relieved during daytime activities, but worsens at night or when sitting still. When lying on one side, the lower nasal cavity is blocked, while the upper nasal cavity is well ventilated. When lying on the other side, nasal congestion occurs in the other nasal cavity. The nasal discharge is mucous and is often accompanied by headache, dizziness, and decreased sense of smell. Chronic hypertrophic rhinitis is often characterized by persistent nasal congestion, mucous or mucopurulent nasal discharge, and may also cause tinnitus, hearing loss, headache, insomnia, mental depression, etc.
