Nowadays, many children may develop myopia because they often play with mobile phones and watch TV. Some children have big eyes at a young age. In fact, when adjusting myopia, we should also observe whether the child will have strabismus, because strabismus is also very harmful to the future growth of the child's eyes. Strabismus is divided into congenital and acquired, so what should children do if they have esotropia? Esotropia is commonly known as crossed eyes. The eyes are deviated inwards. Clinically, esotropia can be divided into congenital and acquired esotropia. Those that occur from birth are called congenital esotropia. The deflection angle is usually large. Acquired esotropia is divided into accommodative and non-accommodative. Accommodative esotropia often occurs around the age of 2-3, usually accompanied by moderate to high hyperopia, or abnormal accommodative cohesion and accommodation ratio; non-accommodative esotropia has nothing to do with accommodation power and refractive status. Currently, the best way to treat esotropia is mainly surgical correction. Generally, surgical treatment has better results. As for specific surgical treatments, go to the hospital to ask the clinical physician and then receive treatment as soon as possible. For this disease, early detection and early treatment are the best options. This disease is also a relatively common disease in ophthalmology. Normally, a person's two eyes can focus on the same target at the same time. In this case, surgical treatment is still required. Each eye has a muscle that moves flexibly under the control of the brain. Strabismus surgery is performed on these muscles, commonly known as extraocular muscle surgery. It does not cause any harm to the child. If the condition is relatively mild, it can be corrected, but the specific situation still needs to be clarified after examination. If there is strabismus, amblyopia should be treated first. Those with hyperopia of more than 3D must wear glasses to confirm that the decrease in accommodation can correct the partial deviation. After the amblyopia treatment is completed, surgical treatment can be considered. There are usually two methods: one is to weaken the medial rectus muscles of both eyes, and the other is to perform medial rectus muscle recession and lateral rectus muscle shortening on the same eye. Generally, you need to go to a professional eye examination and eye test to cooperate with corrective treatment, and regular follow-up examinations are effective. Consider surgical correction if necessary, and take care of your eyes at ordinary times. Don't overuse your eyes |
