What should I do if my child has a high fever?

Parents are naturally worried when their children have a high fever that won't go away. So in order to reduce the harm caused by these diseases to children, parents should pay attention to understanding the correct methods of reducing fever. Common methods of reducing fever include physical cooling methods, such as alcohol baths.

1. Soak your feet in ginger water, adding water and soaking until you sweat. The longer the better. It is estimated that it will take more than 30 minutes to sweat. This is an excellent way to eliminate the cold. This must be tried.

2. If you have a cold, you can also massage the "Fengchi", "Taiyang Temple", "Baihui" and "Yingxiang" acupoints, which can basically eliminate the cold.

3. Use ginger to rub the "Yongquan" point on the soles of the feet and the "Dazhui" point on the back. This is the best way to reduce fever. You should also massage the "Dazhui" acupoint more, especially the acupoints of the bladder meridian. Better than taking any cold medicine.

4. Also, do not give your children food that is too irritating. If they feel very hot, they should take off excess clothing to allow the heat in the body to dissipate. But if you shiver because of this, it means you are wearing too few clothes and you should add more clothes until you are no longer cold.

5. At the same time, do not make the room temperature too high. Doctors usually recommend not to exceed 20℃. At the same time, the room should be properly ventilated to help recovery, and the light should be soft to help children relax.

6. Alcohol bath: suitable for cooling down high fever. Prepare 200-300 ml of 20%-35% alcohol and use it to rub the limbs and back. Avoid rubbing the chest area, abdomen, back of the neck, and soles of the feet as these areas are more sensitive to cold and may cause adverse reactions. It is not suitable for newborns and infants because they have thin skin and abundant capillaries, and alcohol can be absorbed through the skin and cause alcohol poisoning.
