The impact of precocious puberty on children

Once precocious puberty occurs, children will develop prematurely, especially girls, which is very troublesome because some girls may have their first period before they reach the age of twelve. At this time, their minds are not mature enough and they don’t know what to do after their period. Therefore, it is very likely that bacteria will enter their vagina, which will cause gynecological inflammation. Therefore, precocious puberty will indirectly lead to other diseases.

Precocious puberty has a great adverse effect on the physical and mental development of children: due to premature development and maturity, the bone growth period is shortened, the epiphysis will close prematurely, and their final height will be affected; although the sexual development of the children begins to mature, their actual age and psychological maturity are inconsistent with this, which can easily cause psychological disorders in children; because precocious puberty can produce sexual impulses that are inconsistent with age, it is easy to go astray and cause some social problems.

He is not tall. Due to the rapid development of bones, the growth cycle of children with precocious puberty will be significantly shortened, and there will not be enough time for development, which will ultimately make their height shorter than that of ordinary people when they grow up. About half of children with true precocious puberty will eventually reach a height of less than 150cm.

Depressed personality. Children with precocious puberty may carry a heavy mental burden prematurely because they are different from their peers in body shape and appearance, and may develop feelings of inferiority, fear and anxiety, which will have a long-term negative impact on their future mental health.

Endocrine disorders. Precocious puberty itself is an endocrine disease, but the degree of endocrine disorders in children varies from person to person, that is, there are differences in severity and urgency. Children with mild symptoms mainly show imbalance in sex hormone levels, while children with severe symptoms will develop or be combined with other endocrine dysfunctions and show more clinical manifestations.

We already have a basic understanding of the effects of precocious puberty on children. So when parents find that their children's bones are developing too fast, they must go to the hospital for examination immediately. Usually, a bone age examination is done, which can very intuitively show whether their children suffer from precocious puberty. Once precocious puberty is discovered, drug treatment should be given, so as to effectively reduce the harm of precocious puberty to children's growth and development.
