What should I do if my eight-month-old baby has high lead levels?

What should I do if my eight-month-old baby has high lead levels?

For those who frequently undergo physical examinations, they must be familiar with the examination items and indicators in the examination results. For example, the human body contains various nutrients, but also some toxins, such as lead. Of course, if the lead content is relatively low, it will not affect your health. On the contrary, it may cause some abnormal conditions in the body. So, what should I do if my eight-month-old baby has high lead levels?

If the lead level is indeed too high, you should consult a doctor and use regular lead-promoting drugs. At the same time, you should do the following:

(1) Wash your baby’s hands frequently;

(2) Trim nails frequently and clean toys and other items that children may put near their mouths regularly;

(3) In rooms near the road, dust should be wiped off frequently with a damp cloth where children can reach.

(4) Do not take your baby to play near the roadside or near lead-using factories;

(5) Do not walk with a stroller on busy streets;

(6) People whose workplaces are contaminated by lead (such as smelter workers, traffic police, etc.) should not wear their work clothes home;

(7) In rooms where coal is used as fuel, windows should be opened frequently for ventilation;

(8) Eat less foods high in lead (such as preserved eggs and popcorn);

(9) The first water that comes out of the tap in the morning should not be used to cook for children;

(10) Strengthen nutrition and ensure adequate intake of calcium, iron and zinc.

If your baby is deficient in zinc or iron, in addition to supplementing with certain medicines, you should also pay attention to supplementing your baby's diet on a daily basis. Such as animal liver, meat, fish, poultry, followed by green vegetables and beans. Black fungus, kelp and sesame paste are rich in iron.

Oysters, beef, liver, snails, fish, lean meat, and human milk are high in zinc and easily absorbed. There are also pumpkin, eggplant, cabbage, etc. I hope it works for you and I hope your baby gets better soon!!
