Chickenpox is a common disease among many children. It is most common within the age of four. It is rare to hear of adults having chickenpox. Chickenpox has a long incubation period, but everyone's physical constitution is different during this incubation period. After chickenpox occurs, it will cause some blister-like bumps all over the body, and will cause patients to have symptoms similar to a cold. How long does it take for chickenpox to heal? Chickenpox is a highly contagious respiratory disease. The pathogen is the varicella-zoster virus. Most of the patients are infants and young children, with the highest incidence rate in children aged 1-4 years. The incubation period is 12-21 days. If there are no complications, it will take about 10 days to recover. The main transmission routes are respiratory droplets or direct contact. The symptoms before the onset of the disease are fever, headache, and general fatigue, accompanied by runny nose and cough. Generally, a rash will appear after a few hours to a day. Initially, small rashes like mosquito bites appear on the abdomen or back. After a few hours, they develop to the wrists and legs, and some turn into blisters ranging in size from millet grains to mung beans. It takes 20 days for the scab to dry and fall off, at which time there is generally no virus in the scab. Red rashes and blisters appeared on the forehead, back, abdomen, limbs, etc., some of which were scabby. If the disease occurs at an older age, the condition will become more serious, so it is best to treat chickenpox in infancy. Children should be isolated in the early stages of the disease until all the rashes have crusted over. There is no specific treatment for this disease. The main thing is to prevent secondary skin infection, keep it clean and avoid itching, prevent secondary infection, actively isolate patients and prevent infection. Local treatment is mainly to relieve itching and prevent infection, and calamine lotion can be applied externally. Avoid using corticosteroids to prevent the spread and aggravation of chickenpox. During the chickenpox period, you should pay attention to your diet and try to eat light food. Do not eat high-fat, greasy, indigestible foods such as fatty meat, fried foods, etc. You can eat more fresh vegetables and fruits and drink plenty of water. If the patient develops serious symptoms, he or she should go to the hospital in time to avoid harm to the body. |
