What are the nursing and health care methods for baby mouth ulcers

Oral ulcers in babies are not a serious disease, but because the ulcers grow in the mouth, it will affect the baby's eating. In severe cases, it will cause the baby to feel very painful, resulting in the baby being unable to eat normally and crying incessantly. Therefore, we must pay attention to disease prevention in daily life. So what are the care and health care methods for baby oral ulcers?

Most canker sores heal spontaneously within 4-10 days. Parents can rinse their children's mouths with diluted soda water. You can also give your child an antipyretic and analgesic solution to relieve pain. Avoid giving your child acidic, strong, spicy, or salty foods, as these foods may irritate the ulcer wound. If chewing causes extreme pain, giving your child a soft diet or liquidizing his or her meals and feeding with a straw may also help relieve the pain. This prevents fluid from coming into contact with the sore.

To help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and speed healing, your doctor may prescribe oxycortisone lozenges. Place the lozenge in your mouth and allow it to melt slowly in contact with the ulcer. Children over 12 years old can use tetracycline mouthwash. Both methods should be repeated 3 or 4 times a day until the ulcer disappears. If you find that your child has pain or burning sensation in his mouth, you can immediately adopt these two treatment methods, which will have a good effect. If the sores all occur in the same area, your child should see a dentist as this may be due to damage to the tip of the tooth. With treatment, aphthous ulcers usually occur at irregular intervals, are mild, do not last long, and cause little discomfort.

As parents, we must pay attention to the care and health of our children, and avoid babies eating too much acidic and spicy food. Especially when the baby has oral ulcers, you can use some diluted soda water to rinse the baby's mouth. This can prevent the growth of bacteria in the mouth, which is also helpful for the baby's health.
