What to do if baby's skin peels

What to do if baby's skin peels

The baby's body is very fragile and the baby's resistance is very low. Therefore, once there is a problem with the baby's body, it is necessary to pay attention to timely treatment to ensure the baby's physical health and avoid problems that affect the baby's health. So what should I do if the baby's skin peels? Well, let me introduce this issue to you below.

1. Parents and family members of newborns should not be anxious or uneasy.

2. Pay attention to whether the baby is over-wrapped. If the baby is over-wrapped, it may cause vasodilation of the skin blood vessels of the newborn, which may easily promote the occurrence and development of erythema.

3. Parents of sick children should strengthen the care of newborns, mainly checking that the clothes worn and wrapped for the children are soft, clean, comfortable and less irritating. Otherwise, appropriate adjustments should be made.

4. Local treatment or systemic medication may be given under the guidance of a doctor. Generally speaking, localized, non-developing, and non-fused erythema does not require systemic medication and can be treated with topical application of iodine tincture 2 to 3 times a day. If the erythema shows a tendency to expand or merge into large patches, phenergan powder can be given orally to the neonate in addition to applying iodine, with each dose being 1 mg/Kg, 2 to 3 times a day. Generally, it only takes 1 to 2 doses to be effective, and the scope and degree of erythema will be reduced accordingly, without the need for multiple doses.

In short, neonatal erythema is a benign physiological phenomenon in the neonatal period. The child's parents and family members do not need to worry too much about it. Through enhanced observation and attention to care, the erythema can mostly disappear on its own after a few days. If you need to take medication, it is best to use it under the guidance of a doctor and do not take it on your own to prevent adverse drug reactions.

The above is my opinion on this issue that I introduced to you. If the baby has the above problems, then the above methods can be adopted to ensure the safety and health of the body and avoid dangerous situations in the baby's body due to the above-mentioned baby peeling problems. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
