What should I do if my newborn baby has white spots on his nose?

Many parents, that is, friends who have just become parents, sometimes encounter a problem. Soon after the baby is born, they find some white spots on the nose. Because they love their children very much and do not know what the problem is, they often become at a loss, thinking that it is some kind of disease. In fact, it is quite common for newborns to have small white spots on their noses, so there is no need to panic.

The white spots should be called miliary rash or fat particles. Generally, needle-sized white milia can be seen on the tip of the nose, wings of the nose, and cheeks of newborns. This is caused by the accumulation of sebaceous glands and disappears naturally after peeling.

It's caused by the estrogen in the mother's body entering the baby's body through the umbilical cord. Most babies have this problem, and it will get better slowly. It's okay, and it's probably similar to acne.

Don't squeeze it or use any medicine. Just wipe it when you bathe it every day, and it will get better naturally after a while. Otherwise it will leave scars.

Mothers should try not to eat too salty food during pregnancy, and also not eat too salty food during confinement. Food should be lighter.

Generally speaking, no treatment is required and it will disappear on its own after two to three weeks. Without any treatment, these small bumps will disappear on their own within a few weeks, but some may take a month or two to disappear. It is recommended that you do not need to apply any cream or ointment on milia. There is no need to squeeze these pimple-like bumps in an attempt to make them go away quickly, as this may cause scarring. Scrubbing too hard is not a good idea either, as it is not only ineffective but may also irritate your baby's sensitive skin. If the white spots on your baby's nose deepen in color and do not fade even after full term, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for treatment in time as it may be due to other diseases.

I can understand that most parents worry about their children, but when it comes to physical illnesses or things that look like illnesses, you still need to learn more about them. Don't scare yourself first. Learn more about this kind of knowledge, because many terrible consequences are caused by lack of understanding. So once you know, you will know what to do and minimize the harm.
