What is normal vision for a second grader?

Second-grade students are generally around 8 to 10 years old. At this time, the children's vision is relatively high, usually at 1.0 or 5.0, which is the normal vision range. If it is lower than this normal value, parents should pay attention and correct the child's bad habits, otherwise it will easily cause the child to develop myopia at a very young age. Now let us understand the visual acuity range of second grade students.

The youngest elementary school students are over 6 years old. A 6-year-old child has a visual acuity of at least 1.0 or 5.0, which means he has normal vision.

If a child's vision is lower than this value, parents should pay attention, as the child may have myopia or delayed vision development.

Experts recommend: Give your child oral Lejing Vision Nutrients in a timely manner, two packets a day, and correct your child’s bad eye habits to promote vision development, improve myopia, and enhance vision.

What is considered myopia in primary school students?

1. Visual acuity less than 5.0 is considered myopia

Normally when we look at the eye chart for testing, we have to test the left and right eyes separately. The standard distance is 5 meters. However, because the eye charts purchased are different, the required distances may also be different. The eye chart at home may not be as large as the one in the hospital, so the distance should be shortened. If a child's vision is less than 5.0, he or she can only see the symbols on the fourth row from the bottom on the eye chart. It won’t work if it goes any further down, which means it’s still a bit close, but not very serious. When a child’s vision can only see this line, parents should educate them to use their eyes scientifically.

2. Corresponding degrees on the vision chart

On the eye chart, the 4.0 you see corresponds to 650 degrees; the next 4.1 corresponds to 550~600 degrees; 4.2 corresponds to 500 degrees; 4.3 corresponds to 450 degrees; and 4.4 corresponds to 400 degrees. Depending on the child's situation, you can go to the store to get the corresponding glasses. If the vision is only 100 or 200 degrees, there is no need to get glasses for the child. Just let the child take some medicine to improve eyesight and pay attention to their living habits.

3. How to prevent myopia

Since there are so many technological products in modern society, children have been exposed to electronic products such as mobile phones and tablets from an early age, which means that children grow up under the influence of these products. Therefore, the time children spend playing on the computer should be strictly controlled. They should sit upright when reading and not lie on the bed to read. All bad reading habits should be corrected.

No parent wants their children to wear glasses from now on. The thick lenses cover the windows of the child's beautiful soul. Therefore, parents should strictly require their children to develop healthy reading habits, starting with themselves and setting an example for their children.
