ADHD

ADHD

Children must actively cultivate their attention when they are young, so that they can listen carefully in class. Many children have insufficient attention because of ADHD. Because children's ADHD is not only manifested in the shaking of their hands and feet, but also in the fact that they are too curious about some things and always want to move. So how to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder?

Clinical manifestations include excessive activity, being in a state of constant activity no matter what the occasion, such as making small movements in class, knocking on the table, rocking the chair, tearing pencils, cutting erasers, tearing paper, pulling classmates' hair and clothes, etc. He usually walks hurriedly and loves to run. He cannot wait when it comes to activities. He often rushes around aimlessly, moves his hands and feet constantly, and refuses to listen to advice.

Difficulty concentrating. It is difficult to concentrate or the attention span is short. In class, the students often look around and are absent-minded. When doing homework, they play while doing it and make random changes.

Unable to concentrate on one thing, things often start but never finish, and end up with a half-hearted effort.

He has learning difficulties and is careless, and has problems with reading aloud, writing, and oral expression. Although their IQs are mostly within the normal range, their test scores are often unsatisfactory. Personality and/or behavioral disorders: Children with this disease are often willful and stubborn, easily impulsive and lack self-control. They are not sociable in group life and like to quarrel with others. Behaving childishly or strangely, behaving aimlessly, eating and playing, skipping school, fighting, and even lying and stealing. Often, even education is of no help.

In a few cases, personality and behavioral defects remain in adulthood.

Symptoms such as headache, stomach pain, lower abdominal cramps, diarrhea, frequent urination (even enuresis), and vomiting often occur. The appearance of these symptoms is that the children transfer the anxiety caused by the stress and stimulation in study and life to their bodies, causing dysfunction of some organs.

1. It is more common in school-age children, more common in males than in females. Even before they learn to walk, they already show signs of being restless, impulsive and willful.

2. The main symptoms are inattention, excessive activity, restlessness, emotional instability, impulsiveness, and lower academic performance than normal children of the same age. Normal or almost normal intelligence.

3. Physical examination showed uncoordinated movements, and the hand-flip test, nose-pointing test, and finger-pointing test were positive.

4. Electroencephalogram examination shows abnormalities such as increased slow wave activity, which can be used as a reference for diagnosis.

Adult ADHD: If children suffer from ADHD and are not treated in time, it can continue into young adulthood, but the symptoms will be different. We call it "adult mild brain dysfunction (AMBD)", which is adult ADHD. The clinical manifestations of adult ADHD are often characterized by irritability, temper tantrums, anxiety, depression, etc.
