White particles on baby's hands

White particles on baby's hands

If white particles appear on your baby's hands, be careful as it may be hereditary, cell-pathogenic syndrome. It is also possible that special circumstances may cause localized whitening of the skin, and coupled with sunlight exposure, the natural skin relationship can cause depigmentation, forming these small white particles. The small particles begin to grow larger and finally worsen.

Congenital leukocytic abnormality syndrome (Chédiak-Higashi syndrome) is also known as Chédiak-Higashi syndrome, Chédiak-Higashi-Steinbrinck syndrome, hereditary leukocytic abnormality syndrome, congenital peroxidase granulopathy, congenital leukocytic abnormality albinism syndrome, etc. It is a rare albinism accompanied by abnormalities of the nervous system and blood system. It is an autosomal recessive genetic disease and is more common in the offspring of consanguineous relatives.

The skin symptoms of congenital leukocytic dysgranuloma syndrome in children are quite special. They can appear in infancy. The skin is partially whitened, and the exposed areas are slate-gray or black. The hair is flaxen or dark brown, all with a silvery sheen, especially in the sun or after washing.

Therefore, there is currently no effective treatment for congenital leukocyte dysgranuloma syndrome in children. Due to the lack of pigment protection, patients are very sensitive to sunlight. After sun exposure, the skin may thicken and squamous cell carcinoma may occur. Therefore, it is necessary to apply sunscreen.
