What's the best way to treat motion sickness in children?

There are more and more cars now, and children have more and more opportunities to drive cars, because many families have their own cars and like to take their children out for travel and play. However, some children cannot adapt to riding in a car because they get carsick. Every time they ride in a car, they feel dizzy, listless and even vomit. Seeing their children like this, parents really feel distressed. So, what is a good way to deal with children's carsickness?

1. Fresh ginger: Hold fresh ginger slices in your hand while driving and place them under your nostrils to smell them at any time to inhale the spicy smell into your nose. You can also stick ginger slices on your navel and secure it with a pain-relieving plaster.

2. Orange peel: About 1 hour before riding, fold the fresh orange peel inward with the surface facing outwards, then put your two fingers into your nostrils and squeeze it. Aromatic oil mist will be sprayed out of the peel. It can be inhaled more than 10 times, and you can do the same at any time while riding in a car.

3. Wind Oil: Apply Wind Oil to the temples or Fengchi acupoints while riding in a car. You can also drop two drops of Fengyoujing on the belly button and cover it with pain-relieving ointment.

4. Vinegar: Drink a glass of warm water with vinegar before riding to prevent motion sickness.

5. Analgesic plaster for injuries and dampness: Apply the analgesic plaster to the navel before getting on the bus. It is very effective in preventing motion sickness.

6. Pinch the Neiguan acupoint: When motion sickness occurs, pinch the Neiguan acupoint with your thumb (Neiguan acupoint is on the palm side of the wrist joint, about two finger widths above the transverse wrist crease, between the two tendons.

If you are already motion sick:

1. When you feel motion sickness, airsickness or seasickness, it is best to lie down and rest. If possible, try to recline the seat as flat as possible and close your eyes to relax. Do not walk around in the carriage, as this will aggravate the symptoms.

2. Do not eat or drink when movement sickness occurs.

3. Provide proper ventilation to keep the air flowing and fresh.

4. Take deep breaths when you have symptoms such as nausea or vomiting.

5. If possible, wipe your face with a hot towel; or place a cool, wet towel on your forehead.

After reading the above introduction, I believe everyone has a full understanding of what good ways to treat children's motion sickness. What I want to say is that since they are children, it is not recommended to give them western medicine to treat motion sickness. The things used in the above aspects are also very common in daily life. The most important thing is that they do not cause any harm to children's bodies, so you can give it a try.
