What to do if your child has prickly heat

What to do if your child has prickly heat

In the summer, prickly heat will appear at any time. It is easy for babies with weak resistance to get prickly heat. Sometimes it is even more uncomfortable if they scratch it accidentally. So what should we do if children get prickly heat?

In addition, you can take a bath with warm water, and adding a few drops of floral water to the bath water will have a better effect. Rinse and dry your body, then sprinkle some powder on it to relieve itching. When bathing, avoid rubbing the areas with prickly heat to prevent skin abrasions and infection.

Do not use soap when taking a bath to reduce irritation. If you must use it, choose a soap with less alkalinity.

Another very common method is to use ten drops of water to treat prickly heat. First, clean the sweat and secreted oil from the affected area of your body, then squeeze out a few drops of water and apply it to the affected area, and let it dry naturally. The skin where the medicine is applied will feel a slight burning and pain-killing sensation, but it will be less painful after a few minutes. However, the skin of infants and young children is delicate, so it is not suitable for direct application. You can dilute Ten Drops of Water with warm boiled water in a ratio of 1:10 before use. To prevent infection from scratching with fingernails, it is better to apply it with a cotton swab. Or you can add an appropriate amount of Ten Drops Water to warm water when bathing your child, but be careful to only use clean water for bathing, and do not use soap, bath gel, etc.
